Question
I have a New England clock company wall clock with movement minified as identified 7/53 , number 622695.  A clock repair man said I needed to replace the movement with a Hermle movement, but did not provide further identification.  Can you identify Hermle movement which substitutes for NE Clock movement 7/53?  Thanks

Answer
Sorry, I would need to see the application before judging which replacement movement would be appropriate.  Perhaps if you could send me digital pictures of your clock I would be better able to do so.  If you do take pics make sure you have a standard measuring device next to the clock. (A ruler) More necessary would be the inside dimensions of the case in which the movement is to be installed.  Precise measurements are essential.  Also copy down ALL information stamped upon the movements backplate.  I frankly suspect that with that data we will find it was made by Hermle for the company that assembled the clock.  Send the requested information to my e-mail address, <flashpowder@hotmail.com> Regards WJP
