Question
I have a 31 day mantel clock that is about a year old. The clock should chime the hour and the half hour. The clock chimes the half hour properly but chimes 12 times every hour. How can I correct this? Thank You.
the rack on the front to the movement is not engaging the snail properly - perhaps it is bent or the tip broken off. You would need to remove hands and dial to get to the front of the movement and then watch what happens as you move the minute hand to make it strike and you can see what is not happening corectly.
