Question
I have a Howard Miller mantel clock, and it runs about 5-10 min. slow all the time.

Answer
if it has a swinging pendulum- up with the weighted bob by tightening the nut under it speeds it up. if it has a balance wheel like the photo attached here are the directions: the regulating unit on the top rear of your clock movement- hold the rim of #6 while moving any one of the 3 prongs on #5 as far as it will go to the right with a pencil. This will make it go as fast as it can without overhaul.
