I HAVE A LITTLE OLD LADIES WUBA 340-020 (73) MOVEMENT WHICH APPEARS TO BE A FAIRLY COMMON MOVEMENT AS I HAVE SEEN IT IN OTHER MAKES OF CLOCKS. THIS PARTICULAR CLOCK HAS A WHEEL WITH A LOCKING SCREW ON IT WHICH SHOULD BE LOCKE IN POSITION CHIME WHICH IS LOOSE AND AS A RESULT THE CLOCK CHIMES ABOUT 2 3RDS OF THE TUNE IF I TIGHTEN IT.HOW DOES ONE SET THE ROTATING BARREL WHICH MOVES THE HAMMERS TO THE CORRECT POSITION.

BEST REGARDS

MARK

Answer
loosen the set screw. move the minute hand till you find the quarter that only rotates enough to do 4 notes of the chime. rotate the chime barrel by hand till you get the hammers to do 4 notes that are decending in tone- representing the Westmister for the first quarter- then lock the set screw. test for complete sequence before shut off on the next quarter and test to avoid overrun that begins to lift hammers for the next quarter.

340-020 is the part number for Hermle ---73 the year of mfg.
