Question
QUESTION: Hi, I have just bought a Warmink bracket clock, moon phase, c 1950's. It gains about 2 minutes per day. How do I regulate the clock? I can see the balance wheel and spring so I assume there is some way to adjust the spring tension?
Thanks, Geoff.

ANSWER: I am not familiar with this clock.  Please gain access to the clock movements backplate, copy down and send me ALL the infformation stamped thereon.  This will enable me to identify what movement is envolved.

QUESTION: I have sent a photo of the movement. The balance wheel assembly is held by pillars with nuts on the back plate, one can be seen to the right of the bells. There is another nut hidden by the bells. One nut has a   stamped under it on the back plate, the other has a - . This seems to indicate a regulator adjustment but all these nuts do is hold the pillars, I can't see how this can have any regulating effect.

Answer
I have tried my best to enhance your picture so that I could examine the workings of your balance mechanism, with out success.  In absence of that ability I commend the following article to you.  goto <www.silvabel.com/nflbal.htm>  that should help you.
