Question
We recently have a Grandfather or Grandmother,(not sure clock. The clock works but it will not chime.I have tried to locate the company, but it seems as though it went out of business. This is what it says on the backplate:  84
                                             King Arthur
                                               451-050H
                                                  94-cm
                                                    66
I hope this info helps!

Answer
Your clocks movement was made by Hermle, model 451-050H, it requires a 94 cm pendulum.  Parts and replacements are available through most clock repair outlets.  It sounds like the movement needs servicing.  I would suggest you contact a repair person in your area and get an estimate before making any commitment.  For under $200 you can replace the movement with authentic new motor.  Often times the cost for a new movement is far less than the cost for repairs.  With a new superior grade movement you would end up with a better more valuable clock.  If you choose to go that route I can provide you with sources what would have the product available.  Regards WJP
