Question
The info on this rear cover indicates the case is 100% gold. given this fact, at the current price of gold the watch case should be worth a considerable amount. Comments?

AnswerI would not hazard a guess at the value of your case without it being in hand. From the picture it appears the case is missing at least the outer back cover and perhaps the pendent pipe and bow. In either case that would place the case in a category of no-value. The best chance for a profitable sale would be for parts or melt-down value. As to melt down value, what is it 100% 12k or what? Regardless, any such sale would be discounted by gold recovery costs and a profit for the purchaser. Gold cases, in very good condition, 18k or more, are highly sought after and are at premium value. You need an assay. This is the best advice I can give you,
