Clocks, Watches/ebel gaskets

Question
I recently had the battery replaced in my Ebel 1911 by an Ebel recommended service company. To my surprise, the crystal has been fogging up when the weather is humid. I decided to remove the back of the watch and I found that the gasket is missing. Apparently I should have replaced the battery myself. I thought I was doing the right thing by having the battery replaced by an "expert". I would have remembered to put the gasket back in before screwing the cover back on! Now that I have overcome my fear of opening the case of my precious Ebel watch, I cannot find any suppliers online with gaskets for a Men's Ebel 1911 watch. Do you know of any suppliers that will sell me gaskets for my watch?

Answer
I suggest you go to a local jewelry store for a replacement gasket.  To find a source for a single and correct replacement on the Internet would be most unlikely.  As an emergency replacement use a single strand of thread.  Before cutting to length run the thread across a candle to impregnate it with wax.  Regards WJP
