Question
I got a watch from a yardsale that looks to be an antique ladies watch.  It says beverly on the face front top and it says swiss on the face top at bottom.  inside at the movemnt it says:  2 two adjts & 15 fifteen jewels it also says beverly gasoden I believe right beside the #'s 29353.  On the inside of the case backing it says : Wadsworth Quality 14 karat solid gold 1311206 it is rectangular

Answer
Gruen watch co. was founded in 1874 in Columbus, OH.

It lasted until 1953.  Dating a watch would be impossible without a physical inspection.

A 15 jewel movement is a good quality watch, even by today's standards.

With gold prices today, the wadsorth case is relatively valuable.

To get an idea of value, browse through the completed auctions of other Gruen watches that look similar.  It will give you a ballpark idea of value.

Kind regards,

Melvin
