i found this metal detecting in virginia...front is gone, but back cover was there...the number 4 31 is on the movement along with the name of company, also back cover has wheat design and crest kinda design....any idea how old it is  or the name of the watch?  thanks debra

The E. Ingraham Watch Company is from Bristol, CT.  It was in business from 1912-1968.

My Grandfather worked at a rubber plant in Bristol during the war and he bought an E. Ingraham watch.  My cousin still has it.

They produced close to 65 million pocket watches and another 12 million wrist watches.
