Clocks, Watches/Hour chimes do not hammer the correct hour

Question
I inherited my Grandfather clock from my Dad. After setting up it chimes fours hours later than the hour hand shows.
If it's two o'clock the hour chimes hammer 10 times.

If it's four o'clock the hour chimes hammer 12 times.

No instructions came with it. It is keeping fantastic time.
I would love to get the hour chimes to hammer the correct amount of times.

Kuempel Clock works out of Minneapolis, MN

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Bill Cole

Answer
Stop the clock, grasp the hour hand as close to its mounting post as you can.  Turn the hand to the proper time position.  You can do this because the hour hand is friction fit to its shaft.  Start the clock and set to proper time in usual manner.  Regards WJP
