Clocks, Watches/Ingraham clock
Expert: Kenneth Saunders - 7/5/2008
QuestionQUESTION: I have an eight day clock with "MADE BY THE E.INGRAHAM CO.,BRISTOL,CONN.,U.S.A." printed along the bottom edge of the face. The numbers are numeric, not roman. A partial label on the back has the word 'ATLANTA' on it. I haven't been able to find out anything about this clock online. The works are intact; however, the pendulum itself has become detached - the small piece of metal that apparently holds it onto the works has deteriorated. What can you tell me about this clock? Much Thanks!
ANSWER: so marked 1885-1958 by the company.
the broken part is called the suspension feather- cheap, need to cut to proper length and bend hook at bottom.

QUESTION: Ken, I thought another case could be the answer, too, but on the label/directions on the back of the clock - where the 'ATLANTA' is - its printed E. Ingraham CO, Bristol, CONN., USA. Weird, eh? Any thoughts? Thanks! cj
Answermight have just had a different paper label put on to promote sale in the southern USA? might have had another name up North?
