Question
We have purchased a Black Mantle Clock. Along the bottom of the face it says "Manufactured by the E. Ingraham Co. Bristol Conn USA". We do not have the back to this clock to get any information. The top has a "dome" so to speak, the lion head on each end and on the front of each side has 2 metal columns with metal art in between. Any idea on the age? Thank you very much for your time.
about 1900- the front of the mechanism generally has the year and month stamped into the front movement leg plates.
the "dome" is odd - do not know of any black mantle clocks with domes?
