Clocks, Watches/Weights on Piper Grandfather Clock
Expert: Kenneth Saunders - 8/19/2008
QuestionHi Kenneth,
I have piper grandfather clock. Now that I needed to have clock moved.
We took weights and I am not sure which one goes to where.
Luckily looking at the clock the right weight was clear. Because the type of
hook was only possible to put on the all the way to right. But not other two.
Center and left. the weights seems to be same. But I am not sure at all.
Can you help me. I don't want break it.
I remember seeing the manual long time ago. But we could not find it
anymore.
Before the move of the clock was working perfect except Moon dial. I did not
know how to set it.
If you could help me I appreciate very much. Our house feels empty without
the beautiful sound of chimes.
Sincerely,
Answerprobably the center and left are the same. if not, the heaviest of the remaining two goes in the center. the right is the heaviest of all three.
moon dial is set by rotating it with fingertip pressure to index it one click per day to the correct pictorial for the moon phase for today- then the clock does the rest. if it will not index, come back
in several hours and it will.
