Question
Sir:   I have a mauthe tall clock which used to chime @ the
quarter hour but now does not chime at all.  Is there some
mechanism inside that I can touch or move to start the
chimes again?
thanks,
Peggy

Answer
the heaviest weight is needed on the right side to run the chimes --be sure it is hung on that side. Try pulling doen a bit on the right weight as you move the minute hand thru several clockwise chiming cyscles to see if it will start.clock will probably need service if it fails to respond.
