Clocks, Watches/wall striker clock pendulum wont run

Question
hi! i have just inherited a black forest wall striker clock with 2 weights and a pendulum that wont run. It is by Emil Schmeckenbecher #45-8533. It is a beautiful clock and has the 8-day bim bam. We were told it is over 50yrs old but they think it may even be older than that.
What might be the problem why the pendulum wont keep running? is there anything that i can do, or does it need to go to the local jewlers who sells clocks as well?
We have slide the back off of it to see if anything may be loose, but everything seems to be just fine. of course we are no expert!
 Thank You for Your Time

Answer
if it in fact does "tick-tock" when the pendulum is set swinging then perhaps the swing is not even , side to side or "out of beat".

try tilting the bottom of the clock left or right on the wall to find the best position while listening to the sound. If it will run at an angle - let me know .......
