Question
I recently inherited a Colonial of Zeeland Grandfather clock, serial number 7317183,and in moving it,i may have done something to it. It chimes the hours at 15 minutes. In fact everything is 15 minutes behind.I know I'm not supposed to do it,but I moved the hands back to see if that would work, but it did not.Is it possible to reset it myself or do I need to bring someone in.Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance.

Answer
By examining your clock you will see the minute hand is held to its shaft by a hand nut.  Remove this nut and the minute hand.  Reposition and install the hand 15 minutes ahead.  Replace the handnut and you will have made the needed correction.  Regards WJP
