Question
I bought a used modern floor clock and need to put the chains and weights back on. I saw from one of your responses that the heaviest weight should be on the right as I face it. But what specific gears or wheels do the chains go on? and how do I put them on? And any other information you can give me about this particular clock would be appreciated (such as manufacture date).. the movement box says "made in Germany by Erhard Jauch Uhrenfabrik for the Emporer clock company and has #'s 399885 and 77 1 77. Thanks

Answer
Your clock was built from a kit provided by the Emperor Clock Company.  They are still very much in business and operate a regarded customer service unit.  They are on the internet <emperorclock.com>  I suggest you contact them, there is no better source than the horses mouth.  Regards WJP
