I am looking to buy a Howard Miller Grandfather Clock from a store locally. The Model number is 611-068 and is a Gerald Ford Presidential Collection. The only problem is it doesn't have any Howard Miller labels on the back or inside the clock that has the serial number on it. Also there is a label on the back that says Howard miller sample #1 and a model number S611068. Could you tell me if this is a real or fake Howard Miller Clock.

no such thing as a fake Howard Miller Clock that I have EVER heard of.
If the furniture quality is there and the movement is a Kieninger (new HM in the last 10 years used this brand of movement)then who cares? It will loose value just like all of them over time.

gotta be real, IMHO   call HM and ask them?
