Clocks, Watches/Old School Clock

Question
I recently redid my old school clock...Cleaning up the mechinism and reoiled it.  The clock now gains lots of time when fully wound and looses time as the spring is reaching its unwound state.  Any suggestions ...Thanks in advance..

Answer
define "a lot of time" for me

maybe a weak spring - how long does the clock run? are you winding it every 7 days? who made the clock? springs do that but they are not designed to do that at an exagerated rate by the clock makers, so something is afoot here.
