Question
I seem to have overabound the chimes on my clock.  The clock works but it doesn't chime.  Is there a quick fix?

Donald

Answer
The possabilty of an overwound clock is very rare.  Generally conditions so described are due to a need for cleaning or adjustemnt.
In your instance I suspect the lubricant for the spring has lost its ability to allow it to slip against itself.  In other words the sprin is stuck together rather than being free to slip and thus unwind.  I suggest you have the clockleaned or if you know how introduce a proper lubricant to the spring.  Regards WJP
