Question
QUESTION: I have an emperor clock with a movement by Erhard Jauch Uhrenfabric 77 2 77  404680.  I moved it recently and it stopped working. I put in a new suspension spring and the clock is level.  The cutout of the suspension arm is resting on the split foot of the anchor arm assembly and I believe this is binding the movement.  Can the split foot of the anchor arm assembly be bent so that it no longer binds with the suspension arm?  Thanks, Al

ANSWER: You might get it to run that way, but it sounds like the suspension spring you put in is not the correct length. If it were correct you would not have it resting on the spit foot? Shorter one instead?

QUESTION: I purchased the suspension spring from emperor clock company. The number on the invoice matches the parts list that came with the clock.  Would you recommend I order another spring from emperor before bending the anchor arm? Is this a common spring that comes in various lengths? Thanks, Al

Answer
you never said why you replaced the suspension spring. did it break ? did you save the parts to compare with the new one? what is the overall length of the new part you recieved? can you attach a photo of the assembly with the arm resting on the foot?
