where can i find a picture and the history of a Franz Hermle granddaughter clock?

Answer
Hermle is better known as the maker of the mechanisms for many many companies that build clock cases and put their German movements in them- ie, Howard Miller , Ridgeway, etc

Unless it says Hermle on the dial, probably not made by them except the movement- which would have a date or date code stamped on the back brass plate of the mechanism itself.
