Question
QUESTION: I have a Jauch movement with # pl 61 on back, the customer dropped the pendulum and broke the part near the hanger that retains the rods in place and bent the adjusting screw on the bottom of bob as well, can I get a replacement part to retain the rods (it screws  together to sandwich the rods) if so where and if not what length pendulum should I order and from where, (will a hermle pendulum work in place of this one ?  Many thanks,

gary

ANSWER: no parts available
The Hermle will work - the hanger end is different and needs be swapped but one of the same length and disk diameter will be fine.

QUESTION: Hi Ken,

Thanks for the info on the pendulum replacement, 2nd question, the hermle recommended pendulum (75 cm) has a 5 1/2 bob while the old pendulum has a 6 1/2 bob will this size make a difference in time keeping, if so how is that corrected. Thanks in advance

Answer
slowing the clock down with a few turns under the disk of the adjusting nut might be needed if at all. length is the big factor- try before you cut it to final length to see how it does keeping time-
the #1557 below is only 1/2" longer and you will be cutting the top off to attach the Jauch top hanger piece anyway......
