Clocks, Watches/How often do I wind my clock

Question
Hi,  Could you tell me how often I have to wind my Smiths Westminster chiming clock.  Currently I wind all three holes every 3 days.  Tjankyou in anticipation  Barbara

Answer
the factory designed it to last a week if fully wound. You can of course, wind it 1/7th each day or 50% every 3 days- no difference to the clock! Older clocks or ones in need of service may not last a week if fully wound. Then again, quite often, owners do NOT FULLY WIND their clocks(afraid of over-winding,which can NOT happen)
