Question
QUESTION: the center cable came loose from the cable drum retainer----how do i reattach the cable anchor into the cable drum?  i can see the drum from the clocks side and have limited access, but don't know how the cable attaches----thanks

ANSWER: First of all is there a fiting attached to the end of the cable you wish to connect to the drum.  Whether that devise is there or not is a controling factor with respect to any repair.  Regards WJP

QUESTION: The fitting is on the end of the cable---how does it attach to the drum???   Thank you!!!

Answer
There is a slotted hole in the drum that you must insert the fitting.  Once inserted you pull the cable down so it locks into the slot.  If the clock drum has a plastic shield, you will have to remove the shield before you can insert the fitting into the hole and slot.  The shield would either be snap-in or bolt secured.  While this is not a complicated operation i is easy to screw up.  I suggest you have it done by a qualified clock repair person.  Regards WJP
