Question
I have a carriage clock with a broken pivot on the verge.  Can you, if I send the part, manufacture a replacement staff?

Answer
I no longer posses the keenness of eye and steadiness of hand required for such work.  I share your anxiety about sources to do this work.  Today, many persons inhabiting the field of clock repair were never really trained.  In seeking out an adequate repair person do not hesitate to ask about that persons credentials.  Also ask for references with respect to integrity and quality of work.  I truly wish I could help you, I have long passed the time that I would undertake such work without a single thought inadequacy.  My regards WJP
