Question
When our clock chimes it sounds like it is out of tune. Some of them sound fine. It is usually in the first two chimes that sound out of tune.

Answer
Hi Vince, tuning chimerods is not an easy adventure. The pitch is determined by the length of the rod. The shorter the rod the higher the pitch. The pitch for each rod must be determined. You must identify what rods are lower on the musical scale and cut, grind or file the ends of those rods to bring them up to match the scale of the other rods.
The sound of the rods have a lot of overtones making it even more difficult to tune them.
I hope this information is helpful to you.
