QuestionQUESTION: I recently received a Trend weight driven clock for a gift. In the base of the clock is a booklet on Installation, Care and Maintenance but there is no mention of how old the clock is or where replacement parts can be purchased now that Trend is no longer producing. I found the following on the back of the case: Style 834WM, Movement #100, Pack #4726. Any information about this clock wouldbe greatly appreciated.
ANSWER: You need to gain access to the back of the clocks movement. When you do so you will find information stamped upon the clock movements brass backplate. Sometimes this information alone will answer your needs. Often times you will need to have the data interpreted for you. The information on the case and in the manual does not relate to the movement. It carries its own identification. Send me the information and we will see what we can do. Regards WJP

QUESTION: The clock has a Keinsinger movement and is a model 73. The clock repairman who made a house call said you would need to know that the clock has a 93 cm pendulum. He believes it was probably made in the 1920s and that it was used very little. Anyother information would be appreciated. Thanks. Terry Burgess
AnswerI am not at all familiar with Keinsinger and do not possess any reference materials regarding them. By any chance do you mean Kieninger? Prior to my retirement I did have a considerable library of facts on that brand. Those works were donated to horological societies of the USA.
Sorry I bombed out on you. Regards WJP
