Clocks, Watches/W Haid clock

Question
I received a W. Haid Western Germany clock.  I have no experience with clocks.  The clock has two winding holes and I know one is for the time and one is for the chime.  The clock does not have a pendulum so I can't figure out how it runs.  It's not running even after I wind it.  If I move the minute hand around to the 12, the clock chimes the correct hour.  It just doesn't seem to be running.  I have never had a key wind clock without a pendulum.  Any suggestions?

Answer
If the clock does not have a pendulum it will have some sort of balance. The balance could be a platform type (similar to a watch) or it may have a floating balance. In either case, a balance consists of a round "wheel" that oscillates about 1/2 turn each direction.
When these clocks are in good running order the balance should start going when the clock is wound up. The do not need a push to start, as a pendulum would.
Some Haid movements were made by Hermle. Can you tell me if there are any numbers stamped on the back of the movement?
Also a photo of the back of the movement will give me good information that I can use to advise you further.
