Question
QUESTION: I BOUGHT A WATERBURY WALL CLOCK, IT SAYS 30 DAY ON THE DIAL, IT HAS NUMBER 16 ON THE MOVEMENT, IS THIS A 30 DAY MOVEMENT?  THANKS  GENE

ANSWER: To determine the number of days your clock is supposed to run on a winding, count the number of gears in the time train.  If there are three gears it is 30 hours. if there are 4 gears it is an 8 day movement.  Depending upon the location the number 16 can mean the clock was made in 1916 or it designates a model or series.  Regards WJP

QUESTION: I AM SENDING A PICTURE, THIS LOOKS LIKE THREE GEARS, IS THAT RIGHT?  THANKS  GENE

Answer
Unfortunately I have been unable to enhance your picture in such a way as to allow me to count the gears.  From what I see it sure looks like a 30 hr (1 day) movement.  I have never seen nor heard of a Waterbury 30 day clock.  If it were indeed a 30 day I would suspect that it was of Korean origin.  Sorry I bombed out on this, regards WJP
