Question

mauthe clock
could you please help me id the clock it has inscribed on the clockworks at the back 472c1 w415 f mauthe i also want to know if a replacement for the baack can arranged thanks

Answer
Sorry I cannot help you with respect to identification, other than telling you the clock was made in Germany.  As far as a replacement back is concerned, you will most likely have to have a substitute make.  Mauthe used many different styles of backs.  Most of the clocks that I have serviced that look like yours had a tin hinged back.  If that be the case a tin can bottom make an admirable substitute.  Regards WJP
