Question
QUESTION: How do I install a new suspension spring in an urgos miovement?  I have a new one and appears the end with the pin attaches to the pendlium.  I can't figure out how the end of the suspension sprind attaches to the movement.  Almost looks like ther needs to be another pin in the top hole.  I didn't take the clocjk apart so am working w/o knowing what it looked like when it was together.
thanks

ANSWER: At the top of the clock movement on the back there is a post with a vertical split on its end.
The old top block is probably inside that split. It is held in from the side with either a thumb screw or a tapered pin. The leader hooks onto the pin on the bottom block of the spring, the pendulum hangs from the leader. Let me know if you need more help

QUESTION: Ok thanks, it appears I'm missing the top pin from what you explained.  Is that something I can manufacture say out of a paper clip or will that effect the precision of the clock.

thanks for the help

Answer
You can use a paper clip, bend it up on both sides so it doesn't fall out.  It needs to be smaller in diameter than the hole in the suspension spring. The spring needs to be free to dangle so that gravity will pull it straight down when the pendulum is hanging on the assembly.
