Question QUESTION: I had a problem with my clock and it was not working. My son-in-law got it running, but now the chime is off 1/2 hour. not sure how to fix it. I know how to fix 1 or 15 minutes. Do you have advice on how we can set the chime right? Thank you.
ANSWER: any German Westminster chime clock will fix itself if it was made in the last 60 years. How DO YOU fix "1 or 15 minutes"???? More info about the clock is needed for me to help.

QUESTION: First off thanks for the quick response - it is greatly appreciated. I don't know if it is a German Clock - it is a Ridgeway clock. I'm sorry I said I can fix if it is an hour or if it is 15 minutes off.
Do you think that if I stop it running - then move it ahead 30 minutes and then wait 30 minutes and turn it back of it might be right?
Answer Ridgeway was a furniture company that made clock case and put German made movements in them (like EVERYONE does)
if it does not self correct and it is like, striking the hour when the minute hand is pointing at 6-and not 12,-then your son in law removed the nut holding the minute hand on and replaced it 180 degrees off by mistake.
(stopping it will do nothing).
