Question
jadco 31day striking clock. received recently from granpa with no instructions. can you stop its chime at all?

Answer
Assuming it is a wall clock -- these Korean clocks sometimes have a little lever in the bottom near the coiled gong that restricts the hammer from moving--if not: 1. let the left side spring wind down and in 31 days it will stop striking  or   2. stuff some tissue between the hammer and the coiled gong.
