Question
I just inherited a 1927 Montgomery Bros wind-up clock. It has a key and has serial numbers and the date inscribed. It's ticking so it seems to be working. It is about 4 inches tall with all glass sides so the mechanics are visible.

I have been unable to find any information on the internet, even about Montgomery Bros Los Angeles (as is reads on the face). Inside it says Made in France.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Amy

Answer
Hello Amy,

The Montgomery Bro. was more than likely a jewelry store that sold the clock.  In that era they put their name on dials especially on French made clocks.  Other than that I am sorry but I don't have a clue without seeing the movement and even then doubt if it is signed anywhere inside.

Hope you enjoy your clock.
Harold
