Question
I have a bulova wall clock brass pendulum swinging type that keeps good time but the chime every hour is a few minutes late do i have to adjust a screw to fix this or what is the solution?

Answer
The minute hand has a collet pressed into it. This is where you make the adjustment. You must take the minute hand off of the clock by unscrewing the nut on the tip of the hand shaft. This nut will turn counter-clockwise.
Then pull the minute hand off. You should be able to grab the collet from the back side of the hand and turn the hand in the direction you need it to go. In your case you want to push the hand backwards.
Place the hand back on the clock and test to see if you moved it the correct distance.
