Question
Hi..I'm looking to purchase a grandfather clock from a friend and i cannot find nothing online about it.. how old ? value ? good price to pay ?......the clock is a Howard Miller # 610-499 cant find this clock online....Help... the clock is in mint shape....

Answer
I looked through my Howard Miller literature and can't find anything on that model. I'm not surprised as they change their models regularly and I only have a few years of data.
You should be able to date it by looking at the back of the clock movement. There is usually a two digit date stamped on the back plate. 82 means 1982 and so on. If there is a single letter A=1988, B=1999 and so on.
I can't help you put a value on the clock as I don't know what style the case is, what movement is inside it, how fancy the dial is and what condition the movement is in.
