Question

Urgos
Hello, I have an Amana wall clock with an Urgos movement. It runs and chimes fine but when I recently tried to adjust the time via the minute hand it was very tight, so tight that it bent the minute hand. I haven't cleaned and oiled it in about two years. Do you think this would help or is there another problem?

Answer
Your clock movement should be lubricated every two years. A qualified clock repair person should be able to get the tension back to normal so you can move the minute hand freely. Ask the repair person if he or she can lubricate or adjust the tension with the service.
