Clocks, Watches/it broke

Question
I was winding my Grandfather clock and the pendulum fell off. Being the mechanical genius I am, I decided to put it back on as I have done several times in the past. This time I found that the little piece at the very top, that the pendulum actually connected to was missing. I searched the bottom of the cabinet and retrieved a small square piece with a pin though the bottom half of it and what appears to be remnants of two micro thin possibly spring steel slivers that have broken off from the piece that fits in the small shaft that bolts to the back of the works.
I attempted to make a substitute with wire to no avail and after about 2 hours decide to give up as I could not get it adjusted right since I had removed the small shaft and probably didn't get it back adjusted right! I couldn't find the name of the works and all I had was Tempus Fugit made in Germany and the numbers on the cabinet were: 23A  147. I know my brother bought the clock while he was stationed in Germany back in the 70's or 80's. It chimes every 15 minutes as well as the hour. Where can I get the broken piece or where can I get it fixed as it was a gift from my mother who passed away last year.v2

Answer
The part you are referring to is called the suspension spring. We sell them on our web site for between $4.00 and $10.00. You probably need one of the Hermle springs. Measure the width of the block with the pin in it. It should be either 5/16" or 7/16" wide.
Then look at our web page and let me know if you need more help. Here is a link to the suspension springs you might be looking for
