Question
I have a "Seth Thomas Lynton 2w" MAde by General Time.
Catalog no 1200.
There is a stamp 5 77
It was made in Germany and has the imprint A208-005 two jewels 7610 on the back plate.
Do you know when this clock was made and its approximate value?  There seems to be nothing wrong with the clock at all.
Thank you so much for your time.

Answer
To be definitive You need to send me all the information stamped upon the clocks brass backplate.  With the bit of information you have provided your clock was built by Hermle.  In this instance your clock is a Seth Thomas in name only.  Hermle purchased a license to use the name on certain of their products.  I suspect it was built after the re-unification of Germany.  The information stamped on the backplate will tell us the where and the when.  Regards WJP
