PHOTO-1-CLOCK- KING

Answer
It's my understanding that the dates on the labels mean that Ansonia displayed clocks at that exposition but not necessarily that model. The most detailed guide to antique clocks uses Ansonia catalogs to determine dates. The dates given means that the model was in their catalog that year but can't determine when they started making them or when they stopped. The only date I have seen for this model is 1901. The clock may have  been made a few years before or after that date but probably not as early as 1878.
I have worked on these clocks before and they are very attractive and desirable by collectors.
I hope this information is helpful to you.
