Question
QUESTION: Hi, I have an 8 day hour quarter hour Westminster chime.  Chimes OK but at 5 to for the hour, 10 past for quarter etc.Hands are push fit for hour and a " slot" for minute....so moving minute hand only enables 180 degree movement. New to this...so any ideas gratefully received.
Best regards
Richard

ANSWER: need to know who made the clock and any numbers etc from the rear plate of the mechanism itself

Answer
perhaps the minute hand is two pieces? - the hand and the center collet with the square hole in it. holding the hand and either with a square end of a file that fits the collet or a pair of pliers on the OD of the collet--rotate the relationship between the two so when put back on the minute hand shaft and the nut replaced, it makes you happy where it is pointing.
