Question
QUESTION: I have a wooden mantle clock which has carved wood sea scenes on both sides which seem gilded in gold leaf paint. The scene on the left is the ship at sea and on the right it is the ship in port. The ship has sails. It is an eight day clock and require a key to wind it up. I presume it is Mahogany wood.
Does this clock have any value other than me enjoying it.
Thank you for any opinion.

ANSWER: sounds unusual--can you attach a photo?

QUESTION: Actually when I go to your suggested site in the email... page 5, the last closk is similar in that it has an oriental scene on both sides of the clok. It is painted in color whereas mine is in gold.

Answer
I would think less than $500 - most of these go 300-400 but yours is unusual- you can subscribe to the site and find out what that one went for or keep searching Ebay for Ingraham mantle clocks- or buy a book on these  or just keep wondering.
