Question
Hello Mr. Constable. I changing the battery in my Elgin watch and I cannot get my back cover back on. It is a pop cap, and will not pop back into place. Could you tell me how to get the back cover back into place? Thank you for your help in this matter.

Answer
On most case backs there is a small U shaped cut out on the inside of the case back.
Make sure this is lined up with where the winding crown is.
Try to replace but be exta carefull!! as 90% of crowns are damaged when trying to replace case backs of this type.
If in doubt, then your local watch repairer would be able to do this job for you.
