Question
QUESTION: We have a short square Mauthe wall clock, made in Germany with a beveled glass in the door over the dial with a column on each side of the door, the top of the door curves up in the middle, and a curved glass covering the pendulum. The whole thing measures 12.5 by 14.5. Does this clock have a name and how old might it be and if you could give us an approximate value we would really appreciate it.
ANSWER: about $200 or less apparently:

Question: It is my grandmother's! At least she had one. I grew up loving its sound. When she passed, I received it, and my children were growing up with it. It was a strong connection to my grandmother for me. That is until my wife turned evil, left me, and sold my grandmother's clock to a shop in Montrose, Ca. My question is: Is there any way to find out where the people, that asked you its value, acquired their Mauthe, and when? I have been hoping I would one day find it. I would be willing to purchase it back from them if it is the same one! Please help!
