Question
I have a 30 year old Verichron Westminster chime pendulum wall clock that was given to me that works great. It's a keywind clock with a german movement, about how may more years do you think it will last? Also did Verichron make good clocks in the 1970's?

you mean did the German movement maker make good clock mechanisms in 1970? the case made by Verichron could last forever! If the movement has not been overhauled and is 30 years old it is past its' sell by date and living on borrowed time, but it may have been replaced or overhauled in that 30 year period.What are the markings on the back brass plate of the mechanism itself?
