Question
My clock runs fast. I know I adjust the pendulum, but which way do I turn the nut on the pendulum?

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Wright,

To make the clock run slower, turn the nut to the left, that is, lowering it on its threaded shaft (unscrewing it). You should make adjustments in small increments, keeping track of rate error, amount turned, and time between adjustments. Also, it is the position of the pendulum disk, not the position of the nut, which regulates the clock. Disks are sometimes tight on the pendulum stick or rods, so make sure that the pendulum also lowers, to sit on the nut, after each adjustment.  http://www.clockmasteronline.com
