Question
I recently inherited a Daneker grandfather clock and the pendulum rod is missing. Where can I get a new one? The clock internals were made by Mauthe and it is the "President" model. I think it's called the pendulum rod. It's the all brass part that connects the pendulum to the suspension spring.

Answer
called a lEADER or a PEDDULUM HANGER  and of course no longe being made since Mauthe is long gone. What does the top of your pendulum look like? attach a photo? and what does the L shaped piece coming off the top of the inside of the mechanism on the back look like? photo?

and distance from the bottom of the suspension spring to the horizontal part of the above mentioned L shaped piece?

they may be available from a certain supplier I know but we need to know what to ask for exactly.and be sure to search the bottom of the clock with a flashlight for the part!
