Question
Hello,I've just been given a nice 9ct gents Bentima wristwatch. It has *star* underneath Bentima and a seperate face for the secondhand. It has a 9ct solid lugs case, with hinged back. It has no winder, the works look okay. Is it worth much? Worth repairing? Thank you for your time, regards,John.

Answer
John,

Of course it does have some value for the gold content.

Is it worth repairing?
That is a personal question that only you can answer.  It may have sentimental value that makes it worth far more than the material value.  If it is a family heirloom, it will be worth it at any cost (I would assume that is true for your family as well).

So, the best I can tell you is take it to a watchmaker, get a quote, and make your decision based on that.

Kind regards,

Melvin
